The grass grows instantly.
The curtains are thrown back
and outside waits Jesus
to greet me and hold hands
“It has all been a test!”
All popcorn pops at once!
I lie in on warm sheets
hear experimental
jets flying overhead.
My belly opens up
like a small furnace door
and out pour butterflies.
They scatter and soon land
all over the room. One
lands on my toothbrush. One
lands on my snoring friend
who drank too much last night.
’til everything flutters
