What I’m trying to do to the algorithm is to make it break down in interesting ways, to try and push at its smoothness til it fragments, just by picking sets of word-images that don’t go together organically, and are kind of exploding and recombining with each pass on the piece. It’s so hard to try and make something break, when you don’t really understand what drives it.

I’ve already mentioned that non-visual concepts bring up interesting fractures in the end result. But I can’t say how fractured the norm is, as all I have is my interaction with it, and I can’t generalise from that.
